Feeling Ab Pavelizer workout more in the thighs than abs?

It's been a week since i've been experimenting with the Ab Pavelizer and I'm still having some trouble with it.

I seem to feel more effect on my thighs, pulling against the rollerpads with my calves, than I do on my abs. On every rep I also end up dragging my glutes closer towards the machine as I pull against the pads.

Am i doing something wrong or is this a normal part of the technique?
